Additional Details:
Any team look for an experenced defenseman. There is a chance Marc Staal doesn't want to leave the team and wants to stay for a possible cup run. His NMC gives him that right.

PHI
  1. 2025 2nd round pick (CBJ)
CBJ
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Pick swap: From the Provorov trade, Columbus had the option for 2024 or 2025 pick. How the season is going I would assume they will opt for the 2024 2nd.

Desharnais is playing very well for the Oilers and he's cheap, there's no reason to move him right now.

Leafs don't have the cap space for both players then and would cost insane amount more for philly to retain on Laughton

He had a great start but hasn’t looked good for a bit now so we definitely need Sammy

Leafs have 30k deadline cap space trading jones and kampf is 3.5m trading for Laughton and seeler is 3.8m which puts them over the cap. Sure they may be able to send them down but I think the point of including Samsonov over jones would be to flip him to a team elsewhere as teams would likely take a chance on Samsonov than jones. Also trading Samsonov over jones gives toronto over 2m in cap to trade for someone else (tanev 50%, depth forwards like dowd). Basically jones may be swapped in would cost more in prospects and picks or include Samsonov in the deal keep those assets and have room for another move. If Samsonov is not the starter come playoffs I don't see why he shouldn't be included.
