Description

At F - need depth for playoffs, Robertson, Holmberg, and even Reaves as of late have all been solid, but you'll need to call them up eventually anyways in a long enough run. Holmberg would be my first call up, think he is way more trustable and plays a playoff style of responsibility and forechecking.

I think Calgary would get better value by trading Hanifin and Tanev separately. That package seems light for the best and arguably second-best rental defensemen on the market.

I don’t think we are getting both from Cgy. Why would we want Hanifin if he doesn’t want to sign in Canada? But I like the forward targets for depth. Would love to see them get Duhaime or Carrick or both.

You can read his 32 thoughts article. He had said their thought process was Zadorov and Tanev for a #1 and wondered if they could do a similar thing substituting Hanifin, He also mentioned that Toronto had no interest in trading the prospects that would make this viable.

Sorry dude but that's not a legit source, There's no way Hanifin is waiving and extending anywhere in Canada. Both Tanev and Hanifin will cost you a 1st round pick which you don't provide. And no i saw the Friedman tweet and he never linked both players to Toronto only that Toronto has interest in both players.
