I can't disagree, actually, and I'm also highly suspicious of this LAK trade.

But it would be truly great for the Pens if they could move on from the Smith and Graves contracts.

If TB has a good run, Graves could easily be flipped at the draft. They may still lose out on their investment, but the trade is for 1 cup run.

The King's trade is interesting. Smith (and Graves) seems like he would flourish, just not with the Pens. There are players who can play in Pit and those that can't. It's strange how some players just can't figure how to play with certain others.

I think Flower and Quick would both cost way less than the contracts you signed them for. Ned might even cost less.

I do like the roster construction though.
