Tampa would be much better off acquiring Tanev (who’s much better) for cheaper than this

It probably wouldn’t be cheaper than this. I expect him to go for a 1st round pick (hello Toronto) and there will be other teams who can offer this years 1st. A 1st in 2026 isn’t as enticing especially with the protection.
