OP says they're a Habs fan. The Habs trades are awful for the Habs (and the Caufield/RNH trade doesn't make sense for Edmonton). The other trades are truly terrible for Edmonton.

If EDM's 1st round pick was a Guaranteed #1 in 2025
I think i'd pass, This deal's pretty far off value wise

I mean we have 3 Goalies in the NHL , 2 in the AHL plus a Top Goalie in Canadian Jr to Russian Jr , and NCAA.
We wont take back any goalies unless its to tell them to sit at home and wait for the buyout call in June.

EDM has no leverage cause RNH is the Center Piece and EDM couldnt handle Caufields Contract anyways
I mean i love RNH but 5 year NMC is a hard sell when he's 31 in 2 months and signed until he's 36
Caufield being involved pulls us out completely in any trade though really
