Description

If the big four forwards (celebrini, lidstrom, demidov, eisermen) are gone before the habs first round pick, I can see them trading that first for a big impact forward.

Arizona is in an interesting place team wise, with the trades they did this summer it seems like they were trying to bolster the team, but they havent crack a playoff spot. If we look at their young core, Keller is one of the oldest piece in that core. I know he definitely isn't on the trading block, so the habs would have to overpay for him.

This is what I would be willing to pay for him. Let me know how much you would ask for him or be willing to trade for him.

AZ isn’t that far away and they do need to get to the floor, I’m not knocking the value per se just don’t see them doing a trade for Keller that doesn’t knock their socks off ie a massive overpay.

That would be bad. 4 years of Keller and then he's a 29 year old RFA. Why not just take a swing in UFA at one of the wingers?

keller is 25yo they are not trading their best player for more futures

I don’t hate the idea of keeping assets and spending on the ufa market, the only thing is you won’t found a player in the 22- 25 age range on the market and the players on the ufa market will cost a couple mill more then there on ice value

That’s fair I was just see what people had in mind, I could them only seeing the team wanted to start a younger core if the team gets moved to another city.

This is the kind of trade that might make sense in a couple years. At that point it would be a different player, but we'll be looking at replacing Gallagher and Anderson soon after.
