Can you trade the same player to two teams? Seems like a loophole...

      Nevermind, read your description.

I don't think that us enough to convince Pitt to sell this season.

Fair enough like I said I'm not really sure. And tbh I don't think anyone really knows because of how much uncertainty there is around him. Pits could trade him, keep him and extend him, or bet on themselves on making playoffs and possibly lose him for nothing.

Unless there is prospects that are able to play next season, presuming that carrier goes to edm, Nashville will be down to 3rd being fabbro, barrie, schenn and I would be shocked if barrie stayed in Nashville so now that is 2rd left and even though fabbro is rfa his contract does still expire this year. Also if there is prospects I'm unaware of please let me know.

There are a couple for NSH that could come up and play over Schenn on the right side, most notably Livingstone who has been solid defensive in the games he played in NSH last season, and this season in the AHL. Other than him Matier is the next best bet, but Schenn likely plays over him simply because Matier needs some more time. Additionally, NSH has plenty of cap to sign an RD in the off-season if they really need too. Lastly, McD has played on the right side in a pinch for NSH before, so he could easily do that again and NSH has a wealth of LD's they could pick from to come up who all deserve time even now.

He certainly isn't my first choice when it comes to an RD I'd want to bring into NSH, and especially as Carrier's replacement considering how well he has played. Part of the issue with Ceci is his contract going through next year and I don't think NSH would be happy with a right side that looks like Fabbro, Ceci, Schenn for an entire year.

Ceci as a defenseman for NSH just isn't it. If you want to give NSH the picks without Ceci, then I'd more agreeable to it.

Like McDonagh, Lauzon can play on the right side too. NSh also has Stastney and Del Gaizo who are NHL ready, and neither is waiver exempt anymore. Even without the UFAs coming back, NSH's options on the backend could look like this:

      Josi-Fabbro
      McDonagh-Lauzon
      Stastney-Schenn
      Del Gaizo-Livingstone

More than enough options for the bottom pair, and Ceci isn't really an upgrade to the top four. With cap space being a little tight next season (Duchene's buy out hit goes up to bring the dead cap space hit to over $11.8M), I'd rather not add Ceci's salary, when there are cheaper options in house.

You can have one of Walker or Laughton for the first. Bourgault isn’t going to interest Philly.

I think an extension makes the most sense. They won't lose him for nothing. If he's not extended by the deadline, he'll be traded.

For both? Well you could give up your next two first rounders. A first and Holloway gets it done. A first, Akey and a second.
