Why would Saros sign for cheap again

Helly got paid, Sorokin got paid, Vasi got paid, Igor will probably get paid

waaaayyyy too much

I think the free agent signings you have are a bit optimistic, especially those from NSH. If that is what NSH would have to pay Novak to stay, then they just do that themselves as they will have more than enough cap space to sign him.

Also, you are being unrealistic for Saros signing at 6.5. He is having a down year, but his numbers have been similar to Sorokin and Hellebyuck through most of his career, so I expect Saros to get a deal that is closer to what Sorokin is getting paid.

That said, NSH would take this deal, but coming from a NSH fan, that is probably a bit rich. NSH isn't looking for a winger as they have plenty as prospects/young roster players (Kemell, Wood, Evangalista, Tomasino, & L'Heuruex just to give the big names, but there are more). NSH is looking either for a top pair RD or a top 6 center as part of the return for Saros, if he gets dealt. If I was Trotz, I wouldn't be looking at Holtz, I would be looking at either Mercer or Casey, with a preference toward Casey as the prospect/player coming back to NSH.

Cannot come with extension before draft. So would either have to be straight rental or 2025 picks.
