the 3rd is probably fair value for Lyubshkin with retention, so what are you giving the Ducks for taking the next 2 years of Ryan Reaves off your hands?

Reaves contract can be buried. It will cost 200k against the cap. No need to add a sweetener. This is doing right by a vet and letting him finish his career out in the California sun.

1. Create a roster spot, do right by a guy by giving him a chance to prove himself on a young rebuilding team instead of sending him down to the Marlies.

2. Veteran presence to protect the young guys in the lineup.

The value is fine for the trade, but I can't see the Sens trading Chych to the Leafs. I just don't think the Sens would give a top pair d man to their archrivals.
