Pat Verbeek laugh and blocks Kent Hughes number, Give it up Zegras isn't going to Montreal without pieces you won't want to surrender going back to Anaheim.

And Laine is a joke, he can't even stay healthy for 50% of the season.

The Sabres passed on Beck 3 times. They don't need more forward prospects. Barron doesn't have a ton of value and can't carry a trade in his own

No Slafkovsky, no Reinbacher, no Montreal 2024, no call back.

Quantity (and much of it isn't even A-level quantity -- who wants Christian Dvorak?!?) doesn't equal quality. You wouldn't trade Cole Caufield for that, so why should Anaheim accept it for a guy who's performed at the same level?

Z has outdone Caufield up until this year

Yeah, but it's hard enough to get Habs fans to admit that Zegras is as good as Caufield -- why ask for trouble?

Fans of many teams (not just Montreal) excoriate Z as being "one-dimensional offensive player." Who's more one-dimensional -- the guy who has 70 goals and 54 assists, or the guy who has 53 goals and 93 assists?

I think you are undervaluing Mailloux here. He projects as a top-4 NHL D and is performing very well in his first year as a pro (named an all-star). Many scouts see him as an A prospect. + RHD is a need for ANA with only Luneau as a quality prospect in the pool.

Farrell is also having a good first pro year and projects as a top 6 forward. He is a B+ prospect.

Dvorak was just a throw in for the Ducks to have a bottom 6 C and to even out money. Clearly not a key piece here.

The 2025 first from MTL would be a high pick (could be top 10).

So, if it ends up being a top-10 pick, an A prospect, B+ prospect + roster player for Z, I don’t think we’re that far as you’re implying.

No we don’t want Mailloux and we don’t need or want Dvorak

You’re trading for Zegras, you give us what we want for him
