If he's traded I bet its in the offseason. We need a hockey trade, not futures and buyers aren't moving pieces off their team mid-season

Seems crazy to give up anything like that when he needs a new contract and is arbitration eligible which would leave him on a one year to UFA contract. Personally, I wouldn't feel confident offering what he is looking for contract-wise. If Buffalo was confident, they'd sign him instead of shopping him.
