Sorry Nate Danielson sure as hell isn't getting moved for Noah Hanifin, There's absolutely no guarantee's he would sign with Detroit.

The best offer you'd get for Noah Hanifin extended is, Berggren+Maatta+Wallinder+Detroit's 2025 1st round pick. And that's a pretty substantial offer.

Broberg isn't worth much, I would want their 1st + Broberg if we are taking on Ceci

That’s up for debate. Sounds like Broberg’s playing well back in the AHL, but he’s struggling to translate that to the NHL, so definitely doesn’t hold the value of a 1st. Maybe a 2nd/3rd

Ceci would be a decent replacement for Tanev at least and we can flip him for another asset next season. Tough to find or replace RD’s

I’d prefer a better deal or 1st as well, otherwise remove the retention and picks going back. Holloway might be a good ask, his value has to be down currently just like Broberg’s as well

That Oilers trade is terrible!! As a Canucks fan, I don't want the Oilers to get any better, and this trade makes them better. There must be a mechanism that allows the Canucks to veto this trade.

I don't think Ceci is a cap dump. He is still a solid defensive dman on a decent cap hit. Tanev is a clear upgrade though.

I still think a team would easily pay a 3rd for Ceci.

Maybe. The way I view it is if Calgary is handing Edmonton cup favorite odds they better be getting a hell of a return. I don't view Broberg as much more than a reclamation project at this point.

The overall package may add up to a 1st in value but it's still just quantity with minimal quality

I wouldn't even do that. Mabey for an RHD but not for an LHD.

Take out the calgary picks going back. Broberg is only valuable to Edmonton since he was overdrafted. yes yes I know he's had a great month in the AHL

Broberg will probably be placed on waivers next year if he's still in Edmonton. He just simply hasn't taken that next step. My ask from Edmonton would be 1st + Broberg for Tanev
