Buffalo definitely wants to keep Greenway but a first Is good value. Still think they hold onto him.

I get that. Hard to get a read on other Buf ACGMs for Joki; who was my main target here. Could he be had?

Ya Greenway seems to be doing good things there: PK and playing centre.

Yeah I think Buffalo wants to upgrade on him. Maybe a 2nd for Jokiharju is good for both sides. Greenway would cost a 1st since Buffalo needs his play style and don’t want to move him.

The value is probably right, but I can't see them moving Greenway, especially within the division, since he is under contract next season as well.

I would think so. Context is important here. He's not bad, he's a right shot puck mover probably third pair on a good team, can play up in a pinch. The Sabres d currently is frequently guilty of egregious mistakes in their own zone, and they are pretty soft which doesn't help either. Teams look very comfortable on the forecheck against us, and screening our goalie wouldn't be considered risky behavior. Adams should be trying to address these issues, and I think dahlin, power, Samuelsson, and Ryan johnson are all ahead of him on the depth chart, somebody really should get moved out to address these issues, maybe a couple somebodies actually. Whether adams would move jokiharju without replacing him first is probably the biggest question.

It’s not a bad return at all for the Sabres
It’s really a good one

We just aren’t looking to trade Greenway
And probably not Jokiharju either

Treiliving was at the búfalo game today. Incase my telepathy failed, I wanted this trade idea out in the world. Not sure what else he’d be looking at. They are decent players.

A first for a 3rd liner and a 3RD is not the solution to any of our problems. We can find depth guys with grit anywhere

As a Sabres fan I think I’d be close to doing this, and I’m generally against picks and prospects right now because Buffalo has a ton of them.

They are decent players
But that’s exactly why we aren’t looking to move them

As a Sabre fan, at this point in the season with their record, everyone should be tradeable.
Buffalo should take the first if it was offered.
