I agree... I'd rather move Pesce or Chatfield than Morrow and pay the different in picks

No thanks.

Not trading Regula for someone who won’t make a bit a difference to how far this team goes and is not what they need. Even if i do like him.

Buffalo is not looking to acquire picks and prospects. They already have more than any other team. This trade needs to include a top 4 RHD, a #1 goalie, and/or a top 9 gritty winger. And no expiring UFAs.

I love it how every single trade involving prospects with the Hurricanes asks for one of the untouchable prospects

The Bruins were scouting Okposo and Girgensons, Regula is a UFA minor leaguer

A bunch of scraps isn't going to get you a 70 point 2C

Says who? Facebook rumor pages? Okposo would be a nice upgrade over Steen on 4th line. Sure …problem…zero cap space. They have to move cap out to bring cap in and nobody making 2m+ is worth moving out to bring him in. Don’t see how Z helps at all. Does same thing Beecher does. Beecher is sitting in AHL because they don’t have room for his ELC cap hit. Bringing in a similar player with a bigger hit is pointless.

They were likely scouting Mitts.

Regula an RFA and likely the RD3 next year.

Shawn Hutcheon. Beecher is sitting in the AHL because he's not very good

Wrong

"Plays the game quick and fast. Can disrupt opponents breaking out pucks as F1 on the forecheck.
Doesn't project to provide much offense at the NHL level. Handles are average. Offense comes off hard work and determination more than natural skill.
Depth checker with some bump to his game."

You just described ZG as well.

Beecher has more points, hits, better faceoff percentage in fewer games. 90% dzs as rookie. Kills penalties.

His demotion coincided with players coming off LTIR as they are cap tight and he was the only FW waiver exempt as well.

He’s cheaper and Z is not an upgrade over him. It would be beyond stupid. Steen on the other hand. But there are better cheaper options available.

Swap Mitchell for Regula…maybe. Still a cap problem.

I don't think Girgensons is that great and injuries derail him, that's why I traded Okposo. I don't think ZG will get moved

I agree but Morrow isn't getting moved... Pesce or Chatfield would make more sense to get dealt than Morrow from a canes perspective
