Why wouldn't you just put Allen on waivers?

Montreal will not gonna include Reinbacher, Hutson or Ghule for Zegras.

The only thing that have a lot of value who can be include in that is their 2024 1st round pick (MTL).

I thought of that. But i don’t think Hughes would send him to Laval or tell him not to report and sit out the rest of the year. SJ is a place holder here, it could be any franchise that could use a #2 and can fit him under the cap without sending anything the other way.
