I want to preface, I’m a devils fan. I think this is an overpayment but this is my guess IF a trade happens. Still keeps the team under compliance and allows some small wiggle room in resigning Mercer.

I still think Vitek is a buyout candidate this summer.

I don't think they get Clark and Holtz, I think they're really targeting Holtz and guy like Bahl/Bastian/Foote

God this is so bad for the Devils for a 34 year old goalie lol. Thank god the trade didn't go through if this is what it would've cost them.

Clarke is in that same boat for me. Interchangeable with players you listed

Really? You would obviously know better than I do but I saw him as a pretty good propsect comparable to Stillman

I agree. I would do this for Saros in a heartbeat but not Markstrom.

such a bad decision for devils to pay that much for a 34 year old goalie who likely has a year or two tops left in the league( not saying he wont be playing just not to the caliber he is currently). They should target Ingram or wait for the off season to see what Boston does with their tandem.
