That's interesting. You'd think they have to consider it. I think they want a D prospect for Dumba, though. Not sure Stanley still meets that description. But it's okay value depending on how they see Gustafsson.

Too much for yet another bottom pairing defenseman and a plug. Neither make any difference on a playoff team.

Need depth for the playoffs bud and these players add something the jets don't have 1 a physical specimen in o'brien that will stick up for anyone and create chaos. Dumba pushed schmidt put of the top 6 which is major plus. The most important aspect is stanley gone so he isn't an option down the stretch and playoffs and ville has more shot to come up as well without losing stanley for nothing on waivers. All in all you hate all trades whether it's cost or the player or even just because you just want to say the jets keep their insane guys. Your opinion would mean more to me if you actually suggested alternatives or what it would cost instead of "nah too much for a bad player"

I'd rather the better player. Bottom 6 can be replaced easily so keeping barron for 2 years and maybe makes 2m next contract (will be an rfa and can be traded or not signed)
