Still no defense

KInda funny, seen so many posts for the Leafs to acquire Parayko from the Blues. Tonight, Leafs beat Blues 4=1, allowing just 15 shots. Gee, maybe the Blues should be acquiring Leafs Dmen.

Do you seriously believe the leafs defense is good?

No, though I think a lot of it was because of bad goaltending and lately Samsonov has been good.
But if sillier is the thought that acquiring and overpaying for Hanifan, or Tanev is gonna change the Leafs fortunes. After all, where are the Flames and their defensive totals aren't really that good are they?

because it means believing in prospects and skill instead of signing 5 100 foot UFAs like Domi and Bertuzzi.

Treliving is the worst free agent GM since Jim Benning. This roster keeps players and stops chasing patchwork which is the teams downfall this year.



If any team could get Tavares for 5 million they'd sign him too long to make it a win for both sides.

Brodie isn't the problem on D in Toronto. He's fine and someone who can handle life in Toronto has extra value.

you'd have to ask that again in the offseason. likely not a 15 goal scorer, I like Gregor more as of now.

Fair enough but...

I feel like with Gregor is WYSIWYG, no more to give...he is one of the worst offensive IQ guys in the league...great skater and works hard tho...

McMann has upside and I think even now he fills Knies' spot better...big guy, fiesty and can finish...I think he gives the same look as Bertuzzi with of course less upside and way lower cap hit...

Verdict = I would at least try him, not for a shift but for 5-10 games in the top 6...come playoff time I think Knies needs to move down anyway

And thats not a one game decision like Poehling, I have thought he can be a complimentary top 6 guy since I saw him play for the Marlies a couple of years back.

you try mcmann this year regardless and you'll have the info you need to make any future decisions.
