There's no way Arizona moves Durzi, and basically no way Columbus moves Jenner. If CBJ did, there would need to be no retention, and I'd assume we'd favor sending him to a team that didn't need it.

Everyone says that there's NO way AZ will move Durzi as though he's the second coming of Shea Weber. The guy didn't have any real offers this off season and he's signed for dirt cheap, in AZ. I guarantee you, if the price were right, they'd move him.

He's not the second coming of Shea Weber, but he is a found-money 1RD who fits their ideal timeline, and they don't have anyone else in the system that I know of that would be a replacement. Lamoureaux might be great, and there's no guarantee that he's top-4 ready in the next couple of seasons. They don't even have a single D-man signed past this year. He and Moser could be a top-4 pairing for the next 8 years, easily.

Arizona isn't going to rebuild forever, eventually you extend the players that work. Durzi is a guy you extend, 100% of the time, given the situation. He's getting more than 4x4, and the key piece in this deal (a late 2026 1st) isn't going to help a team looking to turn it around sooner rather than later. Even if they consider moving him, this price ain't right.
