As a Kings fan, I wouldn't do a single one of these trades.

Wouldn't take Pearson or Carter for free. Toffoli would be a nice add, but not at the cost of Turcotte, even without the draft pick.

I never thought I'd have someone offer anything (let alone a 4th rounder) for Cater and not expect Pitt to throw in a pick with him...

As a rental it really isn't that unexpected. Teams pay for cheap depth options every deadline. If PIT is selling for the first time in the Crosby era, I wouldn't be surprised to see Carter traded out to a contender.
