My gut tells me you don't realize Zuccarello and Hartman both have extensions already

Hartzy and Zuccy both just signed extensions with NMCs so that rules out the Wild trade. Plus I am pretty sure the Rangers owner has said he isn't going to let the GM trade their first this year. He owns the sphere in Vegas and wants them to have a pick there.

NYR is such a different team than when he was there 6 years ago. There are what 3? players left from his time there and Hank (his bestest bud) isn't one of them. He's married with a kid now. The contract he just signed was his retirement home contract and he'll get to end his career playing with his new bestest bud (Kap).

I still believe that he loves ny and never wanted to leave and I guarantee you he will waive his NTC to come home
NY is his home and all ranger fans want him home

Time (and age) changes things. NY was his home. Norway is Zucc's real home. MN is Zucc's current home, where he just re-signed (full NMC) to stay. He could have easily gone the UFA route and signed back in NY. If Zucc was chasing a Cup he wouldn't have re-signed in MN. He probably could have got more money elsewhere too (he's old but hovering around a ppg).
