Frankie is done for the whole year so the Avs wouldn't be trading him. Likelihood is the offer would be based around Prosvetov and probably a 4th. Beyond that the Avs probably look elsewhere.

I feel like teams know that COL is desperate for a goalie so I think Colorado might be giving up a lot regardless of who it is...I see Kahkonen for a second being a solid deal for both teams, although they don't have a second until 2026.

It's possible but unlikely imo. Desperation will only come into play if Georgie gets injured. They really NEED to acquire one but I don't think they're anywhere close to a point where they'd be held over a barrel as yet.

COL needs consistent scoring from lines 2-4 above all else. They've shown all season that they can win with the current goalies when they are scoring. If they don't prioritize fixing that, adding a better backup G won't do squat for them once playoffs start.

If you’re looking for a team to participate in a bidding war in general, and even more specifically for a Goalie, Canes aren’t that team.

Agreed up to a point. If Georgie goes down though to me that's the season basically over. Have to have some kind of cover.

Yeah, I agree the risk is in Georgiev getting hurt. I'll amend my thinking a bit: Avs need more consistent scoring AND better play in front of the goalie. If they could fix that then I think they could better evaluate the goalie situation. But the point about Georgie going down still stands.
