Wrong draft picks. IF Trevor Zegras were on the market, and I don't believe for a minute that he is (in part because his trade value right now will never be lower), I would accept the Montreal 2024 first and 2025 second with Barron and the unwanted Dvorak.

I agree it starts with the Habs 1st. Doubtful about the rest of the addons in your proposal. Maybe one of the 3 assets u listed.

I rather take my chances with the pick. Zegras was a top 10 pick... not a top 5. We can find a Zegras through the draft... and not have to pay him 7.8M+ next year.

Top 5 to 10's aren't always a sure thing. Next draft is ok but not GREAT! Zegras is a proven NHLer that can play, yeah his defensive skills aren't great,b ut he's 22 and if the Ducks are ready to part ways to get something in return, HABS should make a play since our great and best move ever by Hugues to carry the 2nd line has played less NHL games over the past 4 years than a 4th depth chart liner and isn't looking good for next year either. I'm one of the few who thinks we should've kept Romanov .. Dach ain't a sure player that can play 75% of a season.. He was a way too high risk for a 1st round pick. That's a bad Hugues move even if lots of peeps say Dach was a great move.. It would've been had he been able to play..

So I'd add the protected top 3, but other than that you don't get a Zegras in the Draft 2024 ready to play in the NHL. And his contract still as 2 more years, so no idea why indicate having to pay him 7.8M$ next year.

The only asset I'd remove here would be Dvorak, Duck don't need him, they can call up a younger player and understand they'll tank for another year to get better draft picks.

I agree mostly with you but his contract is a big deal...thats why the Ducks trying to trade him. You trading for a guy with 2 years of control
