Outsider prospective here deal wise I think it's close to fair. But Conroy is using the Cheveldayoff method of trading where if you aren't overpaying you aren't paying enough. So I would think would want a 1st with no conditions. And Lazar isn't of interest to Calgary would rather have a prospect or another pick unless they have a 3rd team to take him in and give a pick/prospect for him.

I would say replace Lazar with either a 2nd or a b prospect

The Flames have zero incentive to move Markstrom. In a vacuum the deal probably is a little under value but not bad. Given the circumstance that there's no need to move him and this would be the Davils approaching the Flames the deal isn't close. Calgary won't move Markstrom unless someone is willing to blow them away with an offer, this isn't that.
