RNH to Nashville

Created by: DrumMan44
Team: 2017-18 Nashville Predators
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 13, 2017
Published: Jul. 13, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
(I'm a Hawks fan, just want to try this out).

Placing an emphasis on center depth to push the Preds over the edge.

Help me out on RFA signings. I'm not sure what "the plan" is with the Salomaki / McLeod. Would it be better to trade them for picks?

I like RNH but 6 million for 4 more years is a horrible contract

Especially moving jarnkrok for him, since he is on a super contract. Id rather spend 4m extra to sign him a better winger, or hand Arvidsson more than peanuts to actually have him re-sign

Tough to see RNH go but we live in a cap world. Not the greatest return if you look at on-ice value alone

I like the Johansen contract. I think that's pretty fair with what they are paying guys these days. Don't think that EDM trade would be enough to land RNH. Would love to see Nashville pull something like this off again.

I'd rather see us move Smith instead of Jarny, maybe change the pick to a 2nd instead of 3rd. As for Salo & McLeod, they're probably depth guys if Gaudreau is signed to a one-way deal. Salo is basically a younger, slightly more skilled Harry Z.

I think the NHL Salary CAP and team Salary CAP are two different things. I don't think that Nashville's management is looking to go so tight to the salary CAP. I Think RNH would be a good fit, but I think the center role was given to Bonino with higher expectations for him this year than what Pitt had for him.
