Barry Trotz is under the influence of alcohol or perhaps codeine if he's gonna waste Saros last season on a friendly deal with the preds in their current state and not move onto Askarov. In fact, it would be far more sensible to capitalize on the Devils desperation and trade him at this deadline to get an even larger return considering this season is down the toilet

Idk why people keep trading for a goalie, leafs have Woll coming back and option on re-signing Sammy for another year with Hildeby NHL most likely for the 25-26 season. Leafs can't afford wasting cap on that position when they are weak in other areas.
