I know Weekes mentioned Andersson last night, but he is legitimately the perfect player to lead the team through this transition. Young enough to still be a high end player when you start to compete again. But to be fair he would bring back a haul in a trade. I'd be looking for a deal like above at least if I'm Conroy.

Not a good enough offer for Ras you need to add Hoglander, Podkolzin, Lekkerimaki minimum otherwise Flames hang up

Dubas wanted to re-sign Mikheyev when he was a UFA—the Leafs simply had no cap left. I can the Penguins as a landing spot for that reason.
