I can't see New York wanting anything to do with that LA trade.

Don’t want Palmieri and don’t want to trade Ritchie, but swap Ritchie for some one else and you might have a deal.

While i don’t think the Sabres will trade Mitts….
Finally someone has posted a deal that actually makes sense for us to consider

Of course, idk how we feel about Pulock,
but it seems reasonable that we could

Ritchie won't be traded, and Palmeri isn't what we need.
Take them both out, and we'll consider it.

The isles get younger, better and faster. Not sure how this can be perceived as bad lol

ok I guess I have to break it down for you

1 - Pulock and Holmstrom for Mittelstadt

IMO - this is an overpayment. IF, we wanted to deal Pullock and he was willing to waive NTC. We could get a good package for him alone. You are adding Holmstrom, one of the few young players on our roster for a FA at the end of the year. No way.

2 - Nelson and Parms for 2024 1st rounder, Johansen and Prospect Ritchie

To me, this package wouldn't be enough for just Nelson and I'll explain. Johansen is a pure cap dump. 1st rounders are always good but you also need to consider it's going to be a bottom pick. I like Ritchie. Lindholm set the market this year for getting a good 2C. He got a 1st and a conditional 4th (can turn into a 3rd), a player in Kuzmenko who's 28 and scored 39 goals last year and 2 Prospects. And Lindholm is a UFA at the end of the year. Nelson to me is a better overall player, and if you want to say they are the same. Nelson has 1 more year left on his contract at a reasonable 6M. Where's Lindholm who turned down 7M with Calgary will want over 7M for at least 6 -7 years. I'm not giving away Parms, we can get something for him too. Not a lot but, this package for both?? no way.

3 - Pelech for Kaliyev and Spence

We can get a much better package for him. That being say, I like Kaliyev, but he is going to walk away from LA at the end of the year (FA). He has been on the 4th line and now a healthy scratch and hasn't put up any numbers. I'd move Wally straight up for him. Regarding Spence, Sorry I don't want anymore undersized Defensemen (he's list at 5'10). To me, there will be plenty of teams offering better packages in the offseason if we make Pelech available.

And by the way, I agree we need to move him. We need to shake everything up and yes get younger and faster.

Mittelstadt is the best player in the trade and he’s young. . Pulock is a solid 2nd pair D and Holmstrom is a bottom 6 winger - this trade is a no brainer.

You’re over exaggerating what we could get for Nelson. Sure the Avs could add a 2nd or another mid rd pick, but the isles aren’t getting much more for Nelson. They need to move Nelson by next trade deadline, might as well do it when his value is at its peak.

Spence is 5’11, same height as Andy Greene who everyone loved. Spence is very solid defensively and doesn’t play small

So you are saying the Nelson should get less in return than Lindholm? because that's want we would be accepting here, not to mention that you added Parms in that deal too. Makes no sense at all.

I think you are under valuing Pulock. There are a bunch of teams that would be interested. I'm not trading him who's a valuable trading chip and a young 3rd line cost affective player in Holmstrom for a FA to be player. All be it a good player. We are not getting the value back. If I'm trading Pulock, I'd do straight up for Pinto in Ottawa. Not adding anything. And to be honest, if I'm trading any of my D-men. First it's Mayfield, than Pelech.

I'm keeping in order - Dobson, Romanov and Pulock

Mittelstadt is about 2x as good as pinto , you’re undervaluing him. He’s a high end 2C
