half retained Jenner for 3 years? Minten would need to be involved.

more than likely not. I agree he is not likely to be moved. Can't fault me for trying though haha

I know but I feel that the Leafs should keep Minten, and I doubt Treiviling wakes up to make these big deals.

If the Leafs trade Minten it better be for Jenner. Otherwise I would be upset. And yes this is unlikely.

What do you expect him to be worth? I think he would be worth a TON. Especially at this cap hit.

Not sure what his trade value might be. But if I'm Toronto I wouldn't consider that. He's at best a solid 3C if the analytics are right he's likely a Goodrow type contract in 2 years from now.

I think the idea of Jenner is nice but the reality won't be great especially if he's forced into the top 6 as JT ages.

He would be a great 3c or 2nd line lw. Low cap hit here.

I just wouldn't do Minten here. I'd be surprised if by the end of his contract Minten isn't the better player. It won't age well.

He's a 30 year old whose has a serious back injury and a few other significant injuries in his career.

Again the idea is nice and I'd love to see him as a Leaf tomorrow but if you we traded a 1st + Minten for him then in a couple years it will look real bad.

I mean, if we’re all being unrealistic here.

Hey! Did you know dating back twenty years, CBJ has won two playoff series to TOR’s one?

Not bad for a bottom-seven team!

He's right though.

Boone the player is a decent 2C, excellent 3C, on a great deal. You'd get him at that cost for 3 playoff runs. In a vacuum the player costs, like, a 1st, Minten, and a mid-rounder.

I thought he may become available when Jarmo got fired, but Davidson, ownership, and Jenner all doubled down on him staying put. It would take more than just an insane overpay to actually pry him loose, and I honestly don't think that changes now unless there's literally an ownership change. Not even a Davidson firing would be enough.

It takes the kind of deal that Treliving gets fired. Two firsts, Cowan/Knies, Minten
