Why not a 1st plus? Because

He’s been awful for 3+ seasons (genuinely worse than Tyler Myers for 3+ seasons)
He’s a bottom pair caliber dman
He’s overpaid for this season and next season

1st round pick is minimum price for a top-4 defenseman. Nobody care Ylonen. You can pull this player. Ylonen will be on waiver soon.
