No to Bertuzzi.

Most everyone else will cost more.

Rather keep Geekie

Honestly I just wanted a winger to slot in with zacha and pasta that's high end, Guenther will cost more than I'm willing to pay.

And as for geekie I love the kid just hard to fit the contract. Could get some decent picks to replanash for him.

I don’t understand what you are doing trying to make Marchand a third liner. Moving Merkulov into the #1 center role. Moving Zacha to wing? Resigning Bertuzzi?

If merkulov remains a bruin next seaso I'd like to see hin in a top 6 centre role. I meant to have zacha centering pasta I overlooked that

And as for bertuzzi we need a winger that can play reasonable top 6 minutes with upside, I dotn think kysell will be ready so in the mean time we know bertuzzi fits with out systems so bring him back, I put down 6 million just beacsue I'm sure he'll want a slight raise given the caps going up but that's the max I'd pay him ideally we'd get him for 5.5.

Marchand is going to slow down and we can play him top 6 minutes when we need ro but when it comes down to it I don't want to gas him out throughout the season so sheltering him on the 3rd line with some younger guys could be a viable option.

We have to prep for Fredric’s extension. From my perspective, that’s probably coming from Ullmark’s salary long term.

Bertuzzi seems like a viable option if DeBrusk isn’t signed before end of year. I’d rather move Marchand up and let Lysell/Merkulov battle it out for a 3rd line position. Lysell should win that battle, but we’ll see. Poitras is much more suited than Merkulov in playing in a top 6 role. He needs to get physically stronger, but the talent is there. Merk, IMO, tops out as a third line center
