I like York but he’s about the last thing the blues would need rn

If Buch was going to Phi I’d like TK plus coming back

Playing off the lindholm trade

Agreed TK would be nice, but York would be solid and Foerster has some potential as well. If it were the Philly 1st, I'd be more open to the idea. But if it's Florida's, it'll be late.

Wouldn't mind somehow prying Frost either somehow

I like this actually. Is the philly pick protected hypothetically?

That is too much to pay for the Flyers for someone who they don't need. The Flyers are still rebuilding and won't be abandoning that plan despite their success so far.

Michkov won't come over for another 2 years and by then Buch could have gone to UFA if he doesn't want to stick around

This completely! And the discussion for TK is funny. He is younger, currently has 10 more pts than Buch and just got an "A". Philly isn't buying at the deadline.

Not sure on the protection. The post I saw just say 2024 1st. So not even sure if its the FLA or PHI first or any protection. Would assume there would have to be in some way

Was curious on an opinion from Philly. I figured it would be interesting with the state of their rebuild but it could speed it up a bit and make it more enticing for players in FA to come there if there's a star like Buch. Plus if he has a solid year, he could sign an extension to play with Michkov in his later years and Michkov will have that Russian mentor

The last 2 years:

Buch: 110 points in 116 GP

TK: 114 points in 116GP

Buchnevich is also 2 years older, he is bigger and plays an offensive style Philly is lacking a bit more, but TK is also one of the better agitators in the entire league and is the heart and soul of the Flyers.

I don't really see how Philly adding would make sense at all

Personally, I wouldn't mind a TK for Buch swap but feel like the Blues would have to add a pick (maybe a 2nd or 3rd) to make that happen. But I don't think Philly trades him at all

I would argue that trade would slow down their rebuild because they would lose York and their defense is what has brought them their success so far.

It would make more sense for them to just sign Buch as an UFA if he decides to go that route if they wanted to get Michkov a russian mentor.

Why are there Blues fan on this site going around saying we don't need defensemen. That is exactly what they need most. Especially LHD

This trade is an overpay by Flyers - they are not going to do this

Also -TK would return more than Buch. You are wrong on this also. He's younger

Just highly doubt Buch makes it to FA. Either signs an extension here in STL or whomever he gets traded to signs him. But I see your point with York and the defense.

Overall thought it was an interesting concept, albeit unlikely

Yeah, it's a lot, but I'm not jazzed about trading Buch for a small Dman and a maybe 3rd line type. And if the pick drops to FLA, hell naw.

Why in the world would Philly add to Konecny for Buch?

2 biggest problems is 1) this seems to go against what philly's current directive is and 2) its an overpay.

if philly was going all in this season maybe it happens, but they arent so i doubt they would part with these peices for 1.5 years of buch

Fair i only said that because i assume its the Flyers that come knocking. If it was the blues asking for TK it would be Buch plus

Why would Philly make this deal? Makes no sense for a rebuilding team to give up youthful assets for a 28 year old. Not to mention this is an overpay.
