For what its worth, The Athletic put out an article today looking at Treliving's previous deadline tendencies. They came to the conclusion he was more inclined to target players with term than rentals. So not impossible he goes for a rental, but might look first for longer term solutions. I'm not claiming to know whether these Sharks players fit the bill, it was just something I found interesting.

I think the bigger hurdle here is the Sharks using their last retention slot on Luke Kunin when they have more attractive pending UFAs available to use that slot on.
