Initial Creation Date: Feb. 21, 2024

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
A lot of raises due here shortly and I'm fairly certain I lowballed all the contracts maybe save for Berggren. I know the Wings have a bunch of prospects coming but I feel like a move has to take place as it stands were over the cap and that's barely filling out a decent roster.

Tbh, our best move might actually be to sell at the TDL.
Getting rid of Petry, Määtta, and Fabbri at this TDL is semi-realistic.
Kostin, Chiarot, Holl, and Copp would be amazing, but unlikely.
Too much money going into the bottom-6/bottom-4.

Way too much $$ for Berg at this point in his career.
One of Kane/Sprong will not be back.
Fabbri and/or Maatta will be traded.
If Danielson or Kasper appear to be ready Copp is a buyout candidate.

That Rasmussen deal is UGLY.

Burgers isn’t getting more than Ras. Drop him closer to 1M, boost up Raymond and Seider a bit.

Maata most likely gets moved in the off season (or TDL) to pave the road for Edvinsson, freeing up more.

Kostin/Fabs could be moved easiest if cap is more important than the return at this point.

That's crazy for Berggren, don't see him getting more than 1M.
I know alot of Wings fans would like to see Sprong re-signed but I think he just prices himself out of Detroit, he would be stupid to not cash in after this season.
Those differences should make up the money needed for Raymond and Seider.
Would like to keep Kane but he might want to go to a contender if we are out of it by chance.
I hope we can move Fabbri in the offseason.

I wouldn't buyout Copp. Deal isn't great value but he will be needed to insulate Danielson and Kasper.

I've got zero issue with the RASS deal because the cap is going up and he plays everywhere. I hope Burgers signs for that but lets face it he had an excellent season in limited time last year and continues to to be a PPG in the AHL. Eventually you're gonna have to pay em

He plays everywhere, but that doesn't mean he's capable of it. He is a 4th liner, at best.

You hope? He's lucky to get half of that.

Ras deal is 400K than I thought. That said, he needs to grow into that deal I think. I would like to see more from him. I think he is totally capable of doing it though.

I expected no more than $2.5M - pretty disappointing. I went from not being able to stand him to having some hope then right back to hating the pick altogether. He's a fine player that does nothing well and that deal will likely not age well.

At least it's not an Abdelkader type deal.

I honestly haven't watched enough of him to have a very good opinion.

Mo Seider will get the Larkin deal 8 x $8,700,000.

Lucas Raymond if long term will get similar to Alex DeBrincat 8 x $7,850,000 or close to it.

I'd imagine both Maatta and Fabbri will be out the door since neither have NMC/NTC Maatta=4th round pick and Fabbri=FC that would open up an additional $7,000,000 between both players.

Jonatan berggren is way overpaid. He won't get more than 2 x $975,000 that's about 10% more than his current ELC contract.

IDK Seider getting the Larkin contract, but feel better about going way over the Burgers deal.

The Larkin deal would be minimal of what Seider would get, I still think he'll be more in the 8 x $9,500,000 to 8 x $10,000,000 range even if nor slightly more.

I mean if you recall Larkin was rumored at 9-9.5. I don't see Seider making above 8. Love Mo but he ain't in that top 10 range for D not yet at least.

You also need to remember who Mo's agent is, Claude Lemiux good luck getting him at $8,000,000.
