Torey Krug a Lightning is what deal

Description
Assuming he’d waive because it’s Florida but I have no reason to believe that he would. Stl would retain 50%.

But if he would, what else does this deal need to be considered? If not this deal, what deal does it?

Is Torey krug a good target for the lightning considering they have very little draft capital or available prospects?

My impression of other Tampa fans here is that they’re okay with moving on from Jeannot because he’s in all their trade concepts.

I’m trying to pick a guy they want to move on from, but who is still nhl quality, even if borderline. We’d give a fresh body to replace that.

You could have a Sundqvist instead. I really don’t want to give you a Toropchenko.

tampa isnt taking krugs contract. If I were the GM I would give you jeannot for like a 4th but JBB seems to really like him so unless you are willing to part with Buchevich he probably isnt going anywhere

Yeah, this is presumably a pipe dream. But if somehow they actually did want him, I'd say forget the Jeannot/Blais part and hand them a 3rd to take him.

Torey Krug isn't waiving for Tampa, When Doug Armstrong tried to move him to Philly and he rejected it. Elliotte Friedman said that he'd only waive for Hometown Detroit. And Yzerman didn't want him.

No one is taking Krug unless the Blues retain 50% or take back bad contracts

Loud and clear.

Just curious. What if stl retained? What if it was half off?

We’re enjoying Kevin hayes half off courtesy of Philly. We get that for 2 more years. I wonder if Doug Armstrong could internally justify 3 years of 3 milly retention on Krug.

Still a hard no?

Fwiw this is a more expensive route, in some regards, for stl than a buyout during the next window.

Even at half price, Tampa Bay still declines. Krug is still an expensive $3m 3rd pair guy that Tampa can't afford once Sergachev returns. He's undersized, which Tampa hates on their blue line. He's weak defensively. And Krug gets no power play time in Tampa, which limits his offensive output. Krug is just a poor fit in Tampa for multiple reasons.
