OTT could probably get more for Chychrun but don't think Canucks trade Willander no matter what

Remove Willander and trade Jett Woo and Phil Giuseppe along with Ian Cole for Jacob Chychrun.
Will that work?

It's an interesting proposal. Canucks drafted Willander because they view him as a top pairing defenceman and a future partner for Hughes. He's practically untouchable, the only way I think they'd consider moving him is for a young top 4 D with term who they view as basically a further developed Willander who can partner with Hughes on the top pair now instead of having to wait 2-3 years. Chychrun, if they were able to work out an extension, could potentially fit the bill. The potential big hangup would be Chychrun being a lefty and Willander a righty, Tocchet doesn't like pairing same handed defenceman so I'm not sure Vancouver would want to partner Hughes and Chychrun together long-term.

Its a fair question and I'll be as straight forward as I can. I doubt it. First Chychrun is a lefty and the Canucks need is a righty. Our Coach likes the righty-lefty thing which means he prefers right handed players on the right side. Hughes doesn't play the right side either and he would probably be the best lefty alternative to do it. The other issue is Chychrun is mediocre. He's not the dominant player everyone thought he would be, and the Canucks are very high on Willander who is a natural righty. So, I would say its an awkward fit and you would get a better return from another team.

Doubt it. Chychrun is worth a 1st + 3rd, that's worth less than Willander alone.

That type of reply is so incredibly immature...

Chychrun was traded just a year ago for a 12th OA pick (the pick JUST after Willander) and TWO 2nd round picks...

Do you find the current proposal insulting or something so it makes you come up with that kind of post?
