If I'm NJ Holtz is off the table in any goalie trade. Goalies never return this much.

I would normally agree 100%...but there have been a lot of reporters that suggest Devils GM may have put Holtz on the table.

Will concede that Holtz for Markstrom may be possible.

But adding the 1st and other stuff makes it too rich.

NJD may see holtz as expendable. Him and Lindy just don’t gel unfortunately. I would hate to see him go tho

Rumor has it, that retention is the whole reason Markstrom hasn't been traded to the Devils already. The Flames don't want to retain at all, also the fact that they are closing the gap on a wildcard spot (3 points back) might actually shift the direction of their deadline plans.

Oh I know. I still think it's ridiculous to offer that much up for a 34 year old goalie.

Start with Mercer+++ so when they come down to Holtz+ it seems less ridiculous
