I think Hagel definitely could get a spot. He's absolutely incredible and is basically just regarded as a solid top 6 player

That’s fair and I struggled with if he should go in the team (as well as Jake) but I still feel like a lot of fans forget Hintz when mentioning the elite C’s in the league.

Maybe I'm proving your point here but I don't think Hintz is an elite center. In my eyes he is a very good player and deserves to be the 1C on a playoff team, but tbh not even being a ppg player probably means you're not elite in this league

Hard to say Hagel is underrated considering Tampa traded 2 first round picks for him. 2 x 1sts being traded for 1 guy in the same trade is SUPER rare.

Underrated players don't usually get $8.4M x 8 contracts.

I think Sprong is pretty underrated. Last season he had 21g - 25a - 46p in 66 games and his cap hit was $750K. So far this season he has 15g - 20a - 35p in 55 games and his cap hit is just $2M.

Yeah he's obviously not underrated by the Lightning, but just the fans of the league in general. For example, I guarantee almost everyone would say Stamkos is better than Hagel and in reality it's Hagel by a mile. I understand looking at trade value but that trade took place 2 years ago. It isn't as relevant now
