Nashville is not trading their future #1 goalie, and Chicago is not trading their draft picks.

Nashville tried to do that very thing at the draft last year. Habs passed, for some reason?

Hawks easily decline. Hawks aren't trading a likely top 3 pick for a goalie.

Hawks are not trading away a chance at Celebrini for a goalie.

Don’t get me wrong Askarov looks to be a very good goalie prospect but the Hawks have invested two recent 2nd round picks in Commesso and Gajan, so it is not exactly the biggest area of need in the organization.

What Chicago needs is skill up front and/or a solid RHD prospect, they will be able to address one of those two needs with a top three pick this upcoming draft.

Celebrini is not Beddard. You are buying hype. But Askerov could easily be Vasilevskiy. You would still get a our first round which would be around 12-16. You can get another centre there easy. Plus you still have your other first. Plus you also took Moore last year. You will be fine. Better then fine. You will have a super star centre and a super start goalie and lots of great guys around them. It works for for everyone.

You’re assuming a lot there. First of all , who said Celibrini is Bedard? Second of all Hawks are not assured to get first overall pick yet, so they might be drafting someone else.
Third sounds like you are buying hype on Askarov. He is looking real good but isn’t in Vasilevsky’s stratosphere yet.
Fourth of all, Hawks have Commesso & Gajanin the pipeline, so the Hawks are not in the market for a goalie prospect.
