I agree. I have done posted to that effect. Im just spitballing. At the least we should move Barrie for a pic then have fun in the playoffs.

Riding the hot streak
You are on the right track BUT I not think ww would trade with Dallas or them w us as we cold be facing them in the playoffs. Look to another division. And we are not going to give away a 1st unless we are contenders. We are not. This is just going to be a little post season experience for the kids and a extra 2 weeks of frustration for fans. Move Barrie for a pic. thats it.

I dont want to move Lauzon, I dont want to move Saros either but ...? If I were a Canes fan and they traded Necas I would burn the arena down.

hes 30 dude, has 2 years on a great contract, is a good depth 2nd-4th line guy, any plays centre. Its a sellers market. Are we rebuilding or what? I Think he fetches a 1st. Just not in our devision because it looks like we might be playing in the first round.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GenXHockey</b></div><div>Fabbro isn't what the leafs need. No sense in moving that much for him.</div></div>
Your defence is one hard check away for Fabbro being JUST what you need. Playoff are bruising, ( coughs ) when you go deep. That is the plan right?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac555</b></div><div>Why are the Canes trading for a 4th or 5th goalie?</div></div>
Because for some reason they traded away Alex Nedeljkovic and one young Russian, entertaining though he may be, and two broken down vets, is not going to get you far. Lanky is good, solid, dependable. He just hasn't played much this year.

And man would you have trouble signing him after that 1 year. NJ tax at that level is 10.75 %, Tennessee is 0% . Talk about sticker shock.

Saros at the Draft
I would consider this. However, what NSH needs is some who could be a top 1 or 2 centre. We have snippers like this guy already in our pipeline, Kemmel, Wood etc. We need play good maker centre. Thats why I think Mercer might be better even though he was a lower pick. Its why NJ doesn't what to give Mercer. However I would consider this. But Drop the 5th round winger and add another pick. Your 2025 2nd or Your 2025 1st with will be much lower if Saros is in your net.
If you gave both Mercer and Holtz NJ could keep there 1sts. Maybe though us one 3rd some year.

Closer.
Mercer, Holtz, 1st and 2nd gets it done. You can also have who you want from Gurianov, Trenin, or Smith to fill some holes.

Then can we please stop the Saros chatter. Im tired of it. We'll keep em both. We have cap space. Its like, no one takes NSH seriously. Oh you have a goalie, we'll take him off your hands, here some some magic beans. PASS! Wow us or STFU! ( with respect )

none of these work. Nashville wants a solid, young #2 C who could be a number #1 when ROR is done. Plus Picks. I don't see that here.
Barry wants to be WOWed. I dont see WOW here.

Celebrini is not Beddard. You are buying hype. But Askerov could easily be Vasilevskiy. You would still get a our first round which would be around 12-16. You can get another centre there easy. Plus you still have your other first. Plus you also took Moore last year. You will be fine. Better then fine. You will have a super star centre and a super start goalie and lots of great guys around them. It works for for everyone.

First rd pick (in ‘25 - top ten protected) and C prospect for Sissons and Trenin. I don’t believe we need retention for this
I do think Drury will hold on to the ‘24 first rder in a deal with a conditional second. Ie-Tarasenko. And Dolan wants to keep that pick supposedly</div></div>
1st round in 2024 (thus no need for protections) and KARL HENRIKSSON, for Sissons and Trenin.

I do. He is C/R depth guy who can play 4th, 3th or even 2nd line in pinch. Seems like thats what teams are looking for. And has a cap friendly contract. Trotz said that Nashville had friendly contracts he could move.
