Description
Our dear Viqsi propsed this over on hfb and I wanted to see what it looked like. Yes, Pelech has a NTC and is unlikely to waive for Columbus. But you never know! And then I just kept making other moves, both logical and from my heart.

Not a bad idea but Isles are short top 4 LHD. if it were a Pulock, could be different. there extra D are left handed but all bottom pairing types

I debated Pulock, but there's just not room for another RHD in Columbus. Would Provorov be of interest going the other way in a larger trade?

Probably, because it could be a stop gap till their young (Odelieus and George) mature.
the thought is right but I don't think Lou trades from the defense. His top 4 can be dangerous when they learn Roy's style. the bottom 2 in the other hand...

I mean it is not bad but not sure I would move KJ for a player that will take minutes away from Mateychuk. I would much rather move KJ for a more established C that can anchor this team with Fantilli.

You beat me too it!

I would offer KJ and a 50% Provorov (or a Svoliz but to me Provorov would be a more fair proposal)

Personally I would see what it would take to get a 50% Pageau. The offense might not be there but he's still a faceoff/defensive expert which we could use for a 3rd line. That would give us more options down the center to get them to a wing position like Boone.

Ideally Boone makes sense there but his face off skills make it too hard to move him to wing. What we need is for Silly and Voronkov to become better in the dot bc if they do it makes it much easier to move Boone to the wing.

The theory I'd had in mind was to pair him with Jiricek and thereby be an excellent quality mentor. By the time Mateychuk is NHL-ready Provorov will likely be long gone anyways.
