I think as one of the best defensive teams of the modern area we don’t need an upgrade on D. With the addition on Monahan we are good down the middle too as I really like Names.

I think Joseph is probably gonna be out of Winnipeg's price range. he's proving himself pretty vital to the Sens right now, doubtful they let him go for anything less than a pretty significant overpay

They are the best in goals allowed/game. That is heavily indicative of goaltending and not defense. My Penguins are 3rd in that stat. They most definitely are not the third best defense, but rather average defensively. Jarry and Ned have been excellent stealing goals.

Savard would be on my list also, chyrunn possibly, a lot depends on price and teams thought process on extensions from within, I don’t mess around much up front. Trying to make up a story line to bring laine back, possibly with an expensive or a cheap rhd dman also from Columbus, but Columbus wouldn’t want to give them away, and tough to put a proper price and limited cap room, too make anything work. Probably boring tdl in Winnipeg, probably a token replacement rhd dman, 8th dman/13th forward types.

Honestly speaking, I expect nothing more from Chevy than a solid RD who gobbles up PK minutes. He'll slot in next to Samberg on the third pair, and be a noticable upgrade to the pk unit.
