If you thought re-signing Okposo and Girgensons was bad, just wait until you’re paying $1 million more for a player who produces even less. Adding insult to injury, you’re trading away the only right handed physical defenseman we have to get him. 🤦‍♂️

I disagree.

Girgensons has an almost as many goals as he has points this year and people are ready to move on from him. Buffalo can’t afford to be spending almost $4 million on any fourth liners, especially ones who don’t do anything.

I value his playoff experience and believe he will be more useful than clifton who actively hurts us.

It's one more year at less that 275k more per year than him

Goodrow from last year would have been OK, but his performance fell off of a cliff.
Just to emphasize the difference between G v G.
Z has 6 goals in 39 games while B has 7 pts in 55 games.
Z is -2 and has a 2.39 xGA/60 while B is -9 and has a 2.73 xGA/60, while the hits/60 are nearly identical at 10 and 9.8 per 60 respectively.

While Cliffton has been a terrible disappointment, taking on Barclay's cap hit would be a disaster and would cost much more than next year's fifth .

What people don't see is Goody being a force at what he does, easy pass. He's exactly what we need, just like you.
