NJD passes. 1 year of saros is not worth this. Even with a VERY team friendly extension in place still likely no from NJD

Matt Roy is getting a heck of a lot more than 3 x $5,000,000 We'd give him 5 x $5,500,000 to bring him home to Detroit for our 2nd pairing until Axel Sandin Pellikka is ready in 3-4 years.

Appreciate the confidence in our playoff push.

I think half the reasoning for making Holtz available is the confidence that Gritsyuk can step right into lineup. Not sure we would move both…in same deal.

Yeah, and he says no to that too. Not every player wants to move to Detroit.

I would consider this. However, what NSH needs is some who could be a top 1 or 2 centre. We have snippers like this guy already in our pipeline, Kemmel, Wood etc. We need play good maker centre. Thats why I think Mercer might be better even though he was a lower pick. Its why NJ doesn't what to give Mercer. However I would consider this. But Drop the 5th round winger and add another pick. Your 2025 2nd or Your 2025 1st with will be much lower if Saros is in your net.

If you gave both Mercer and Holtz NJ could keep there 1sts. Maybe though us one 3rd some year.

And man would you have trouble signing him after that 1 year. NJ tax at that level is 10.75 %, Tennessee is 0% . Talk about sticker shock.

Not gonna lie, I was sorta thinking that as I made the deal. Just wanted to do something different than Mercer, Casey, and a 1st - even though I think that'd be a great deal

Just signed him as a filler. I think there's a chance the preds go after a good 2nd pairing guy this summer, so wanted to get that in here

I see that for sure. Just wanted to try something different than Mercer, Casey, and a pick. Mercer would be a great add
