As a Flames fan, I was going to say yes because of the 1st rounder but, Kampf at 4years makes it a maybe.
Personally I'd rather a 2nd and prospect without the extra baggage but, I might be in the minority

Leafs don't want an extension with tanev. Just a pure rental. Plenty of younger options in ufa.

I'm not big on the strome trade either. But it sort of makes sense.

As sniper mentioned, I'd take the 1st, but without the extra pieces.

I see Kampf as a 1-1.5M player, so he's overpaid by about 3-4.5M over the duration of that contract. I'd want at least a 3rd instead of Voit to take him off your hands.

Not sure why you wouldn't want a guy like Kampf in your bottom 6. Honestly, he has been great for the leafs since coming over from Chicago. Unfortunately, given the Leafs cap situation he's looking like a luxury that we can't afford.

That is a massive overpay for strome
