Description
I’d trade Miller before this years TDL. He’s killing them. Trouba hasn’t helped but I think if he had a better partner his game would improve

Only way I trade all of this for Hanafin is if he re-signs. 8 years probably, 8-9 AAV (ball park)

I would change that condition to Rangers winning the cup in 2024 or 2025 personally.

Has Miller been really that bad? A change of scenery might help it seems. Doubt Arizona buys, but I would accept that as Arizona

Also I feel like Calgary would be interested in Miller, so why not use him as one of the main pieces in a Hanafin move?

miller has really struggled this year

It’s a fair point where he’d go to Calgary in the trade. I like the Arizona guys and thought they needed some salary on their cap so that’s why I sent him there

I see. But anyways if I am Calgary I try to aim for a package of Miller + 1st. I like Miller so I feel trading him right now would be a mistake. More of an offseason move

I know the potential he has and he’s shown it many times, but he’s very inconsistent and this years he’s had some regression. They wouldn’t trade him for peanuts and would have to get a defenseman in return for him

Agreed. But at the same time I feel like Rangers can get more. I mean if Romanov and Nilks get firsts. And Chariot and Savard got firsts. so could the rangers should be able to get a first I feel

still if i am Calgary Miller is def someone I ask for

Im AZ id love to get miller - dont see bjug as guy AZ willing to give - he is only C over 23 yo they have, I think NYR be better w zucker (50%) replace vesey (zucker still an score but he is playing with grinders in AZ). Bjug has good pt total because is between maccelli and crouse. not sure valimaki improvement over guf either. would NYR want more picks (that board is lean) for miller.

Take Bjugstad out and Arizona accepts.
If you want a center from us, then you can trade for McBain while you still have the chance because his recent play is going to soon convince Armstrong to not have him on the table

I think you'd regret selling low on Miller

I'm in from AZ's point of view. I think they want to keep Bjugstad, but getting Miller back makes too much sense long-term. 24 year old defenseman who is big, skates, and can eat minutes. It's a no-brainer to me.

I like Bjugstad a lot. He's been a big influence in the room. Valimaki has shown flashes of why he was a highly regarded prospect, but he has never played at Miller's level. They have 10 2nd rounders the next three years. It's fine.

They slid McBain up between Maccelli and Crouse after the deadline last year, and the line didn't miss a beat. Cooley, Hayton, McBain, Kerfoot is fine. Smith and Jenik in Tucson who need evaluation time at this level or kick them loose. Geekie pushing for a spot next year. They can always grab a free agent veteran center in the off-season if guys aren't ready. Twenty-something games this year without Bjugstad isn't going to kill them. Easier to fill that hole than grab a 6'5" 24 year old who eats big minutes.

it's really not, lamoureux is bigger and younger than miller is. he's shown to be a defensive defenceman, which the coyotes need. there's no "crazy talk" about it, there's simply not a purpose in trading for him

He's two to three years away from making an impact and you're assuming he hits his potential. Kind of inane to think you don't need a 24 year old with almost 300 games to his credit because you have a guy in the system way down the road.
