Hey hey no! Back off Brendan Smith. That was my idea for a cheap add for the Wings

Maybe if Grzelcyk grew 3" and 25 pounds maybe but TB doesn't do Smurf defensemen.

Sens accept any tarasenko trade that is along the framework of "Tarasenko at 50% retained for a 1st and without the Sens taking significant cap beyond this season in return". so yeah this fits

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Tampa makes a serious push for Hanifin. Grzelcyk has regressed and he wouldn't bring back a 3rd especially without retention. Pittsburgh doesn't do it. A 1st for 2 months of Tarasenko is a waste of asset. Smith has been terrible this year.

Pens laugh at that one pretty hard. MP is a top pairing shutdown defenseman on a cheap deal. The regular AND fancy stats back up how great he is. It would take a 1st and top prospect. Not an AHL player, a cap dump, and two late picks. The only part of that trade that has any value is the 2nd. Which is washed by taking a cap dump back.

Pretty close, seems to be a common likeably trade for both sides.

I think Pettersson is a fantastic fit for what jersey needs as a shutdown dman, PK guy, puck mover who’s already played 2 years on a pairing with John Marino so should have a smoother transition into jersey than most other acquisitions would.
