Holl for Anderson is probably a wash or in Montreal’s favor, Savard and Perron + Veleno too so Detroit adds a little too much here

It just isn't. You've suggested it in like 4 different ways by now and it simply doesn't make Detroit better in the regular season or the playoffs. Josh Anderson had 6 points and was a minus player in the Habs finals run. And he's expensive.

Savard is fine, but he and Holl are basically just a wash (but Savard is older).

Colin White is a literal throw in. He was on waivers like 2 weeks ago.

Perron was point per game player in his last playoff run, and Veleno is the youngest player here, if he's getting sent out it'll be for someone who actually helps the team

Then Detroit is also sending picks to the Habs. It isn't balanced
