What Anaheim writers have you seen mock this trade?

PIT fan here, but I think Briere would be stupid to make that Zegras trade.

Don't mind Seeler but I'm not at all sold on Laughton being able to move the needle for the Avs; decent player but he isn't going to make the Avs better.

They quite literally wrote an entire article solely based off of this idea

I honestly don't disagree at all, this is solely based off of a rumor and thinking about how the Flyers view and value Laughton

I'm torn on it tbh. Philly is weak on LW and Farabee is turning into a legit 1LW who plays a 200-foot game and is become a leader. It'd be a really brutal loss IMO

Having said that, guys like Zegras almost never become available, and at the end of the day I think it'll be easier to address LW than it will be to address C in the future (also worth noting Farabee is having a career best year while Zegras is having a career worst)

I think your reasoning on it is sound. Not a huge age difference. Just think Farabee is a better all around player while Zegras has more potential. This is really betting substantially on that potential and he might never be a more valuable player than Farabee is.

Considering how terrible out left wing depth is, I'd rather not give up farabee.

I'd actually be more interested in adding Seeler than Laughton for a cup run even though D isn't a real need. Laughton is decent but isn't a 2C and ties us up there going forward. Also think it's an overpay.

Nope! Ceci is not a cap dump. Absolutely do not need to pay a 3rd to put him in this trade. Retain 50% of Ceci, and boom, you will get a decent amount for him.

Totally understand where it's coming from and I know some people look at Laughton's contract as a plus but he's another 3C which the Avs don't need; the Avs don't need to be spending the few premium assets they have left of redundant pieces.

Upgrading from Walker to Ceci doesn't net you draft picks. Edmonton would rather have Ceci anyhow, so no deal.
