SJ should be open to taking RJ, but I think it'll cost the '26 2nd or at least a 3rd + 4th.

honestly I think the Avs would 100% do the 2026 2nd, wasn't sure if the Sharks would want to wait that long though.

They definitely do. It's whether or not they'd trade Byram.

They'll probably consider moving him in the offseason, but they're not gonna remove from their roster at the deadline.

In the summer Buchnevich only has one more year before a big raise, so I highly doubt they would do it for Byram.

They should imo, the rebuild will be a few years and they should be taking any and all 1st and 2nds over that time to draft and develop or use those future picks in a trade when they're getting competitive again.

A third is probably the right pick for moving RyJo imo. If the Sharks would take RyJo, Meyers and a third I'd do that happily as Meyers would get more of a chance in SJ and he's better than ppl are giving him credit for. Buchnevich simply isn't the right target for the Avs and it's kind of a waste of assets by that measure. He isn't a C no matter what it says on here. It's akin to calling Drouin a C. The Avs sure as hell won't be moving Byram for Buch.

yeah - if he doesn't actually play centre then there would be no interest in him from the Avs side.

yes in the SJ deal I agree. Colorado needs to add futures

Low picks, AHL plugs and a cap dump is not interesting to SJ
